Attention for Attention x John Dewey College

Educational development for the introductory year 2026
In collaboration with the innovative John Dewey College in The Hague, Aandacht voor Aandacht is developing new education for the introductory year starting in September ‘26.
This program focuses on addressing the questions: “What is attention?” and “How do we shape attention in the digital age?". Through experiential workshops, reflection, and exercises, students explore how their own attention works, how it is influenced by the attention economy, and how they can handle this more consciously in learning and collaboration.
The program is being developed together with the teachers and aligns with the pedagogical vision of the John Dewey College, in which project-based learning and personal development are central.
What we are going to do
Create a modular introductory program
Introduce practical attention exercises
Discuss the role of attention in the group
Reflect on learning, stimuli, and focus in daily school life and beyond
With this trajectory, we want to contribute to a conscious start for students, in which attention is seen as the key to a successful learning process.
